Mehdi Modares, associate professor, and Jamshid Mohammadi, professor in the Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering department, will contribute to the 9th International Virtual Conference on Reliable Engineering Computing (REC 2021) jointly hosted by University of Messina and University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria in Italy in May 2021. This conference is focused on risk and uncertainty in engineering computations, in which Modares and Mohammadi serve as a part of its international scientific committee. They authored and will present four papers alongside with their current and former doctoral students. The topics of their researches include reliable fatigue analysis, uncertain construction scheduling, reliable temporary structures design, and bridge truck uncertain overloads. The 6th International Conference on Reliable Engineering Computing (REC 2014) was held at Illinois Tech in May 2014, which Modares organized, hosted, and chaired. For more information, click here.
