Students from the ACE Summer Design Build Workshop will host a ribbon cutting to unveil their final project on Friday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Illinois Tech UFarm. The workshop is a pre-apprenticeship summer program created by ACE Mentor Chicago in 2010. During the past six weeks, ACE students worked together to design and build a covered bench near the UFarm to provide a shaded rest area for Illinois Tech students. The bench will also serve as an informational kiosk so visitors can learn more about the fantastic technology that Illinois Tech students have added to UFARM. This event is open to all Illinois Tech students, staff, and faculty.
