Adrianna Maron Commits to Illinois Tech Women’s Soccer

Adrianna Maron, a forward from Elmwood Park has committed to the Illinois Tech 2012 women’s soccer recruiting class. Maron was born in Nowy Targ, Poland and currently resides in Elmwood Park, Illinois with her parents Anna and Dariusz.

Maron plays for head coach Marty Blake at Elmwood Park High School. Elmwood Park were conference champions in 2009 and won the regional championship in 2011.

She has been named team captain three-years in a row for Elmwood Park. Maron is a three-time All-Conference award recipient, two-time Team MVP, and was named the Conference MVP in 2011. She has scored 45 goals in her high school soccer career and will look to add to that total this spring.  Maron is also a starting forward for the United Soccer Academy team coached by Tony Hepburn.

Head Coach Marc Colwell commented, “Adrianna is a goal scorer that can also set the table for other players. She is a quick and crafty front that can finish in different ways. I’m excited to add her to the team and the university. She will be a great fit both on and off the field.”

Adrianna is a National Honor Society Secretary, Illinois State Scholar, and Prairie State Achievement Award Recipient. She will study Information Technology and Management at Illinois Tech.
