On November 11, Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner recognized fourth year social and economic development policy major Allan Huang with the 2017 Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award. Recipients of the award are chosen for their leadership and service in the pursuit of the betterment of humanity and for overall excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities. Huang and his fellow awardees were honored during a ceremony at the Old State Capitol State Historic Site in Springfield, Illinois.
