About 40 alumni of Illinois Tech’s biology graduate programs since 2010 came back to visit their old department on September 16 during Homecoming. Most are now living and working in the Chicago area, with positions in universities and businesses. Some drove in from neighboring states including Indiana and Michigan. One alumnus sent a greeting message from Denmark and looks forward to the reunion next year.
“Our alumni had a great time chatting with our current students and faculty,” said Jialing Xiang, professor of biology. “The event was very successful, and we are looking forward to having it again next year.”
