Amy Benck Named International Center Director

Vice President for International Affairs Darsh Wasan this week announced the appointment of Amy Benck as director of the International Center. Benck has served as the assistant director of the International Center since August 2010. She joined IIT in 2006 as  the SEVIS coordinator/international student advisor. Prior to joining IIT, she was on the staff at the Office of International Services at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from Loyola University Chicago.

Benck and her team are responsible for overseeing university compliance with immigration and related regulations; supporting international students, faculty and staff as well as students studying abroad; and providing services and resources to the IIT community.
