Submission Deadline for Department of Humanities’ 58th Annual Writing Contest Extended

The Department of Humanities is accepting submissions for its 58th annual writing contest—and the deadline has been extended a week to March 10. All full-time Illinois Tech undergraduate students (students who are currently taking at least 12 credit hours) are invited to submit original pieces of fiction, poetry, plays, nonfiction, and philosophical analysis.

Winners will be announced on or after Friday, March 31, 2023, on the Lewis College of Science and Letters’ Department of Humanities’ website. An in-person awards ceremony will be held on April 18, 2023, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. For more details, including the official entry form and contest rules, visit the writing contest website or contact iitwritingcontest@gmail.com.

*Prizes will be awarded in the form of PNC Bank Visa gift cards, which can be used anywhere that Visa cards are accepted.
