Applied Mathematics Students Publish Paper in Research Journal

During summer 2014, Applied Mathematics (AMAT) undergraduate students Weronika Swiechowicz and Yuanfang Xiang, supported by the College of Science Dean’s Undergraduate Research Stipend and the F.R. “Buck” McMorris Summer Research Stipend, respectively, worked on research projects with AMAT assistant professor Sonja Petrović. Their research grew into a joint project, resulting in a research paper later that year. Their paper has just been accepted by the SIAM Undergraduate Research Online (SIURO) journal and can be found here. Swiechowicz is currently a 5th year AMAT student, while Xiang graduated in May 2015 and is currently in graduate school at Cornell.
