Mayor Rahm Emanuel recently appointed Armour College of Engineering alumna Mae Whiteside (CE, ‘99) to the Chicago Community Development Commission (CDC). The CDC recommends actions to the City Council on the establishment of new Tax Increment Financing districts, Redevelopment Area designations, and appointment to the Community Conservation Council.
Whiteside is the founder and principal at CKL Engineers, LLC, a professional civil engineering consulting company providing sustainable transportation design, road and airport construction management, and erosion control engineering and inspection services.
