Philip R. Troyk, associate dean of Armour College of Engineering and professor of biomedical engineering, recently accepted an invitation to serve as a member of the Bioengineering of Neuroscience, Vision and Low Vision Technologies Study Section, Center for Scientific Review. Troyk will serve in this position from Saturday, July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021.
In this role, Troyk will contribute to biomedical research on a national level by reviewing grant applications submitted to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and making recommendations on the applications to the NIH national advisory council or board. Members are selected based on their demonstrated abilities in their field of study as evidenced by the quality of their research, publications in scientific journals, and other significant scientific activities, achievements and honors.
