Armour College of Engineering Dean Natacha DePaola Elected to Global Engineering Deans Council Executive Committee

Natacha DePaola, Carol and Ed Kaplan Armour College Dean of Engineering, was recently elected to serve on the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) Executive Committee. One of six newly-elected committee members, Dean DePaola will serve on the committee for three years, playing an important role in the direction and activities of the GEDC.

The GEDC was established in 2008, and has has grown to include over 500 deans from over 30 countries, five regional chapters and 12 corporate and other partners. The mission of the GEDC is to serve as a global network of engineering deans and to leverage the collective strengths of the deans for the advancement of engineering education, research and service to the global community.

In this newly-elected role, Dean DePaola will be able to further impact education by emphasizing an entrepreneurial and ethical practice of engineering that generates innovative and sustainable solutions with a global impact.
