Armour College of Engineering Doctoral Student Michael Desch Awarded Structural Engineers Foundation Max Zar Scholarship

Michael Desch, Doctoral Student in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) has recently been awarded the Structural Engineers Foundation Max Zar Scholarship.

Desch is currently pursuing a PhD degree under the supervision of Mehdi Modares, Associate Professor in the CAEE Department. His research is focused on reliable fatigue analysis of structures using interval uncertainty. Named after Illinois Tech CAEE alum, Max Zar, this scholarship is awarded to outstanding students pursuing structural engineering degrees in the State of Illinois.
