Armour College of Engineering Researchers Publish First-Ever Topology Optimization Study for 3-D Phononic Crystals

Srivastava.jpgAnkit Srivastava, assistant professor of mechanical, materials, and aerospace engineering at Armour College of Engineering, was published in Scientific Reports. The manuscript, “3-D Phononic Crystals with Ultra-Wide Band Gaps,” details the first ever topology optimization study for 3-D phononic crystals. The paper was authored with Ph.D. student Yan Lu in collaboration researchers from John Hopkins University.
