Armour College of Engineering Student-Athletes on Women’s Lacrosse Team Dominate on Field and in Classroom

Several Armour College of Engineering student-athletes who are members of the Illinois Institute of Technology Women’s Lacrosse team have been honored with awards from the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference (MWLC).

Four Armour College of Engineering student-athletes have been named members of MWLC All-Academic team for their academic prowess in the classroom. Heather Bennett (EE 4th year), Cassandra Reineke (CE 2nd year), Abbie Reynolds (ME 1st year), and Isabella Rubin (ME 1st year) all earned or exceeded the required 3.30 grade point average to qualify for the team. A total of 72 students from ten schools in the MWLC earned a spot on the All-Academic team.

Student-athletes from Armour were also named to the MWLC All-Conference team for their outstanding achievements on the field. Abbie Reynolds, Alyssa DeLuca (AE 1st year), and Cassandra Reineke all earned first team honors. Jennifer Young (CE 1st year) was named to the second team, while Isabella Rubin was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
