Armour College of Engineering R&D Logo Design Contest

Armour College of Engineering needs your help to design a logo for Armour R&D. This contest is open to all IIT students.

Armour R&D is an initiative started at Armour College of Engineering (ACE) with the goal of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship amongst our engineering students. The two programs that make up Armour R&D are the Program for Undergraduate Research in Engineering (PURE) and Mentored INnovation and Development (MIND). Both programs are detailed below. Keep both programs in mind when designing the logo:

ACE PURE provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to participate in fundamental and applied research projects in engineering – targeted to the better understanding and solution of problems of contemporary relevance and global impact. PURE is a collaborative effort involving ACE faculty, the Wagner Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER), the Pritzker Institute of Biomedical Science and Engineering, and the Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH). Students selected to participate in this program will have the opportunity to work with an IIT faculty mentor, gain valuable research experience, and receive a stipend.

ACE MIND is a program for undergraduate engineering students. MIND focuses on the development and implementation of technology to address contemporary challenges improving and impacting mankind and the environment. This new program is about the development of technology based on research findings, rather than the execution of basic research. We encourage faculty and students to participate in this new program to explore new applications of ongoing research and/or work towards the utilization of innovative technology.
