Join us at the Paul V. Galvin Library at Illinois Institute of Technology on Friday, January 26 from 5–6 p.m. for a discussion about the intersections between art and science with artist Lindsay Olson, Fermilab Senior Scientist Herman B. White, and Vice Provost for Research and Academic Affairs at Illinois Tech Christopher White.
Olson’s art work helps reinforce the connection between scientific research and the health and wellbeing of communities. She will talk about the impact of working collaboratively with scientists, engineers and staff at Fermilab and at CERN, on her studio practice. Herman White will discuss the research being done at Fermilab and Christopher White will discuss physics research at Illinois Tech.
A reception for Olson’s exhibition, which runs through Friday, February 16, will follow from 6–7 p.m. in Galvin’s Kemper Gallery.
