Associate Professor of Physics Jeff Terry Gives Colloquium at Columbia University

Jeff Terry, associate professor of physics, gave the Material Science and Engineering Colloquium at Columbia University. His talk, titled “Synchrotron Radiation Studies of Advanced Nuclear Energy Materials,” focused on the application of synchrotron techniques to measure the electronic structure and the nano- and meso-scale geometric structure of materials of interest to the nuclear community. The methods that have been used to handle radioactive materials safely at synchrotron radiation facilities were also discussed.

The colloquium lecture took place on Friday, March 1, from 2 – 3 pm in the S.W. Mudd building on Columbia University campus.
