Abstract

I’m Not Okay and That’s Okay offers in-the-moment microskills—little strategies for big relief—to help you recognize and break unhelpful thinking patterns; cope with feelings of sadness, anger, fear, and frustration; engage in healthier behaviors; and improve your relationships. You’ll also build insight into the why of it all—giving you deeper self-understanding and more control. Yes, life can be rough—but you’ve got this. And this fun, heartfelt guide has your back.

Bio

Steff Du Bois researches health broadly, and more specifically health behavior change, health in romantic relationships, health equity, and health research methodology. Populations of interest include LGBTQ+ individuals, racially and ethnically minoritized groups, and individuals in long-distance relationships. He currently has 39 peer-reviewed publications, and has received multiple grants to conduct his research. He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois, and has a small private practice where he provides therapy to individuals and those in relationships. He has over 100 plants and trees in his home.
