Be a Part of the New Staff Advisory Council – Nominations Due February 12

As President Alan Cramb has announced, there will be a newly formed Staff Advisory Council (SAC).

This is a great time for you to get involved and become more active at the university.

The chief purpose of the SAC is to provide a voice for all staff and share current areas of interest or concern with the president. Information will be cultivated by the SAC from staff by email and meetings. An agenda will then be set for a one-hour SAC meeting with the president.

To be eligible to participate on the SAC, you must be: a benefits-eligible, full- or part-time staff member who does not report directly to the president or provost and is not represented by the faculty organization.

Your supervisor needs to acknowledge that you wish to be a member of the SAC and sign the nomination form.

SAC members will serve a two-year term.

Emails with nomination forms attached were sent to all eligible staff members on February 8, 2016. If you would prefer, you can find the nomination form here.

Nomination forms can be submitted by email to StaffAdvisoryCouncil@iit.edu, or by inserting them in drop boxes located in Human Resources (IIT Tower, 9th floor), at the One Stop (The McCormick Tribune Campus Center) or the IIT Tower 1st Floor Security Desk.

Nominations close at 5 p.m. on Friday, February 12 (note corrected date).
