The Fourth International Conference on Big Data Computing and Communications (BIGCOM) will take place Tuesday, August 7 through Thursday, August 9 in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center Auditorium on Illinois Tech’s Mies Campus. All Illinois Tech students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend the conference, where computer scientists from all over the world will gather to share their research in a wide variety of areas from deep learning and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and blockchain. Food will be provided.
Peng-Jun Wan, professor of computer science and engineering, is general co-chair of this year’s conference. Keynote lectures include “Scalable Algorithms in the Age of Big Data, Network Science, and Machine Learning,” by Shang-Hua Teng of University of Southern California, and “Reliability and Efficiency Problems in Cloud and Data-Processing Systems,” by Shan Lu of University of Chicago.
