Chicago’s Bike to Work Week ran from June 8-14. The Office of Campus Energy & Sustainability has set up a team on the drivelesslivemore.com website where IIT staff, faculty and students can track your commute on a daily basis.

Each commute you log can earn you points (based on the mode of travel) which add up each month and qualify your for prize drawings once you reach a certain number. It also will provide you with a dashboard with useful stats on your travel and associated green house gas emissions and fuel savings.

OCES would like to promote this website more aggressively starting this fall and would appreciate your participation and feedback to help make the program as effective as possible.

If you are interested in participating, please visit drivelesslivemore.com to register. Be sure to use your IIT email address as this will help us to communicate with you through our corporate account with DriveLessLiveMore. Once registered, please click the “Bike Commuter Challenge” tab at the top of the page, and scroll down and click “Join” next to “Illinois Institute of Technology.” We will be in touch along with way with updates and to request your feedback. Once you are registered, it should only take a couple minutes per day to log your commute.
