Most individuals know that getting proper nutrition and exercising regularly are important parts of staying healthy but so is going in for wellness checkups. Illinois Tech’s health plans include a rich wellness benefit for all members, which includes 100% coverage (no member copay or cost share) for your annual physical and any other age- and gender-appropriate screenings and exams.* Some services may even be eligible for Member Rewards!

Since wellness guidelines can change, here are the current guidelines, courtesy of Blue Cross Blue Shield:

For those getting mammograms and colonoscopies as part of their wellness benefits, Member Rewards may be available. The rewards for these procedures tend to be $25–$50. To shop for services, log in to your account at www.bcbsil.com and use the provider finder tool. You can also call the member services number on the back of your ID card and ask for assistance shopping.
