Boren Scholarships for U.S. Citizens to Study Abroad

Are you interested in studying abroad next summer, fall, or spring 2014? If so, join the Study Abroad Office at the Boren Scholarship Information Session on Wednesday, October 3 at 1pm in Perlstein Hall 108.

The Boren Awards emphasize less commonly taught languages and long-term linguistic and cultural study, as well as research and academic internships abroad. Funding from the National Security Education Program (NSEP) supports U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who study in world regions critical to U.S. interests, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Join us to learn more from representatives of the Institute for International Education (IIE), the administrator of the awards. Up to $20,000 is available for undergraduates and up to $30,000 for graduate students. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask Ashley Sinclair at studyabroad@iit.edu.
