Campus Sustainability Forum this Friday

The IIT Office of Campus Energy and Sustainability will hold the first Campus Sustainability Forum of the spring semester from 12 – 1:30 pm on Friday, January 27 in the MTCC Ballroom.  The topic of this months forum is, “Consumer Choice vs. Government Policy: Which is more effective to get businesses to act socially and environmentally responsible?”

Speakers

Kath Duffy (Moderator ): Founder & Director at Dill Pickle Food Co-op Kath is the founding organizer and a current director of Chicago’s only community owned storefront grocery store, the Dill Pickle Food Co-op in Logan Square. She is committed to addressing community needs from the ground up. Ms. Duffy has also served as the Communications and Events Organizer for the Illinois Campaign for Better Health Care since September 2007.

Ashley Craig: Environmental Business Specialist at the Environmental Law & Policy Center Ashley is an Environmental Business Specialist working on eco-business and clean energy development and policy issues for the Environmental Law & Policy Center. Ms. Craig previously worked at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President of Fixed Income Research and served as a financial analyst for the New York Attorney General’s office.

Brock Auerbach-Lynn: Environmental Management & Sustainability Candidate at IIT Stuart Brock is an MBA & MS Environmental Management & Sustainability Candidate at the Stuart School of Business. He has worked as an environmental consultant for the Green Chicago Restaurant Co-op and for the Plastic Pollution Coalition. His passion lies in strategically developing and managing sustainability programs for organizations.
