Career Services workshops for Tuesday, April 21, through Friday, April 24.

Tuesday, April 21
Take It to the Bridge
Noon-2 p.m., McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Bridge
Come by and pick up workshop descriptions, learn about services offered, pre-register for Wednesday’s Career Connection event, and ask about strategies to prepare for jobs, internships, and more. Students and alumni are both welcome to take advantage of these services.

Wednesday April 22
Spring Career Connections
4-7 p.m., MTCC Ballroom
Career Connections are less formal and structured than career fairs, but can still lead to job opportunities, internships, and more. See which companies are coming to campus to recruit here. Make sure to visit their websites to learn what they do and what kinds of job opportunities may be available. Pre-register here. Dress for Career Connections is business casual. Pre-registration is requested, but not mandatory.

Thursday, April 23
Interviewing with Confidence
4-4:45 p.m., Perlstein Hall, Room 109
If you have an interview coming up or have had an interview that didn’t go well in the past, make sure you are well-prepared to conquer your next interview by attending this workshop to find out the answers to questions like, “What questions you are guaranteed to be asked?”, “What topics are taboo for a job interview?”, “how long should your answers be?”, “What are some great questions to ask your interviewer?”, and more. Research shows that interviewers reach final decisions about applicants only four minutes after meeting them; will you make a good first impression?
