Catch the Scarlet Hawk Spirit at Homecoming

Homecoming BannerHomecoming 2010 celebrations begin today, September 20 and continue all through the week, filled with fun, games and lots of excitement all around campus. Join us for a weeklong celebration of Scarlet Hawk spirit. The theme of the 2010 Homecoming is “Tech Traditions.”

A full list of Homecoming activities and events is available on the Homecoming webpage. All events are free and open to IIT students, faculty, staff and alumni. The Office of Student Life, Union Board, and the IIT Alumni Association have all sorts of great stuff planned.

Monday, 5 pm – Dodgeball Tournament at Siegel Field*
Tuesday, 3 – 7 pm – Gladiator Events at Morton Park*
Wednesday, 5 pm – Waterballoon Capture the Flag at Morton Park*
Thursday, 5 pm – Ultimate Frisbee Tournament at Siegel Field*
Saturday, 5:30 pm – Homecoming Parade – the spirit team floats will lead the crowd to the carnival.
*Homecoming Spirit Teams will compete first, everyone else is welcome to join in the fun after.

Homecoming Dance
This year’s Homecoming theme is Cirque du Soleil, so dress up or dress down and come dance the night away under the stars! You can discover what the future holds for you by getting a personalized tarot card reading from a professional tarot card reader, or come for free food, giveaways, and a good time! Join us in The Bog for an after-party following the dance.

Homecoming Carnival
Carnival inflatables, games, acrobats, a band, and free shirts, food, and fun for people of all ages! This is one event you will not want to miss!
