Cayuse IRB Software to go Live This Fall

The  Office of Research Integrity & Compliance has implemented Cayuse IRB, a cloud-based software tool, for Illinois Tech researchers. With Cayuse IRB, the university will be able to streamline IRB submission processes and provide greater access to IRB records.

Some benefits of Cayuse IRB include:

  • Easy to use electronic forms with autofill features
  • Ability to submit and certify protocols from your computer
  • Real-time submission tracking
  • IRB record management from initial submission through study closure

Illinois Tech plans to go live with Cayuse IRB on October 7, 2019. After this date, all IRB submissions (including amendments, incident reports, and project closures) will be routed through Cayuse IRB. Additionally, all currently active IRB applications will be uploaded into Cayuse IRB so researchers can manage their IRB records and submissions through the software.

Training sessions are being offered for researchers with active IRB projects. These sessions will introduce the software to end users and address questions you might have. If your department or research lab would like to schedule a training session, please contact irb@iit.edu to make arrangements.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Research Integrity & Compliance at irb@iit.edu or 312.567.7141.
