Celebrate IIT Innovation at Chicago Innovation Awards Scholarship Competition Ceremony

stuart_CIA14comp_600sq.jpgIIT Stuart School of Business and the Chicago Innovation Awards join forces on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 to present the Chicago Innovation Awards Scholarship Competition. Beginning at 5:30 pm at the Downtown Campus, the event will recognize the winners of the student competition, including the $5,000 Gold Prize winner J. Thomas Gaskin, IV (M.B.A./M.Des. ‘14) for his entry “Catalyst,” a web-based service to connect scientists with specialized lab instruments, developed in collaboration with Maggee Bond (M.Des. ’14), Anushree Jain (M.Des. ’14), and Alisa Weinstein (M.Des. ’13). Silver and Bronze Prize winners will also be recognized, as well as all students who entered the competition. Register to join the celebration.

Industry panelists will share insight on innovation and building successful businesses. Speakers include: Tom Kuczmarski, Co-Founder; Chicago Innovation Awards; Matt Matros, Founder, Protein Bar; Kate Shubert, Chicago Regional Sales Manager, Disney Institute; Andrew Neiman, Co-Owner & Director of Business Development, SceneTap; and Sharon Schneider, Co-Founder and CEO, Moxie Jean.
