Celebrate Stroke Awareness Month at Illinois Institute of Technology

PosterJoin the Office of Institutional Advancement on Thursday, May 28, 2015, in McCloska Auditorium in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) for a morning of learning about the nation’s biggest killers – heart disease and stroke. There will be stroke preventing carotid artery screenings available from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., and a speech from Sean Maloney.

Maloney is a former EVP at Intel, and was in line to become CEO in 2010 when he suffered a stroke. He temporarily lost complete control of his right side, and lost all of his speech. Five years after his stroke, he is raising stroke and heart disease awareness by cycling from San Francisco to New York.
