The Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) would like to congratulate the members who have won recent innovation competitions.

Rakini Murugesan, Masters of Information Technology Management student, took first place in the Campus 1871 Innovation & Prototype Competition with a cost-effective edible spoon concept designed to reduce the massive waste from plastic-based disposable utensils. Murugesan is continuing to pursue this project in the upcoming Chicago Innovation Challenge.

Corey Hornbeck, Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Student, won a competition run by the Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers – Regional Leadership Program. Hornbeck designed an educational, electronic board game for children designed to help kids learn history.

Sufian Kaki Aslam, graduate student of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, won the Derby Hacks competition in April of this year by building a health monitoring platform that allows patients to connect with healthcare professionals remotely.

We look forward to more successful entries in competitions by CEO members.
