Galvin Library’s University Archives & Special Collections invites you to a public event as part of Chicago Open Archives: Yours to Explore on Thursday, October 6 from 5:30-6:15 p.m. in the University Archives & Special Collections Reading Room on the first floor of Galvin Library.
University Archivist and campus historian Ralph Pugh will present highlights from the collections including early magnetic wire recorders developed at Illinois Tech, photographs and academic catalogs from the New Bauhaus and School of Design, and correspondence related to Laszlo Moholy-Nagy and Mies van der Rohe’s tenure at the university.
