Chicagoland Alumni Gathering Featuring Nayar Prize Finalists – May 5

Join President Alan W. Cramb with fellow alumni and friends to learn about the Nayar Prize on Thursday, May 5 from 6-9 p.m. on the fourth floor of gravity tank, located at 114 W. Illinois Street, Chicago. This $1 million-plus prize package established by Madhavan Nayar (M.S. IE ’68) encourages and challenges Illinois Tech faculty, staff, and students to develop breakthrough, innovative projects that will, within three years, produce meaningful results with a societal impact.

This new imaging system capable of spatially mapping the variable characteristics of cancers at the cellular level will improve cancer survival rates.

Game Development for Early Language Acquisition in High-Risk Children 
Leveraging serious game design, this research-driven, high-impact interactive game for children aged 24–36 months will better prepare children for school and long-term success.

The Driverless City
As cities around the world leverage the opportunities and manage the impacts of driverless cars, this project investigates the advances required to shape this future city.
