College of Architecture Professor Michelangelo Sabatino is part of team that received a Academic Program Grant from the Terra Foundation for American Art for a public seminar, Chicago: City of Design and Commerce, 1890-1990 aimed at analyzing the rise of Chicago as an international design capital by exploring intersections among visual, material, cultural, and economic developments over a period of one hundred years. The Steering Committee is made up of Michael Golec (SAIC), Alison Fisher (AIC), and Michelangelo Sabatino (Illinois Tech), Liesl Olson and D. Bradford Hunt (Newberry) The seminar will run fall 2017 through fall 2018.
