College of Architecture Professor Robert Krawczyk Announces Awards and Upcoming Exhibitions

College of Architecture Professor Robert Krawczyk received several awards this year and has various exhibitions upcoming in spring and summer 2018:

  • Received Award of Excellence: 3D printing, “Containing Air, Exploring Structure Series”, Architectural Elements Exhibition, Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists, Bridgeport Art Center, Chicago, January 4-30; two sculptures
  • Awarded Second Place Prize: Visualizing music, laser-cut reliefs and digital prints in the Hand in Hand: Craft and New Technologies at the Crooked Tree Art Center in Traverse City, Michigan, January–March 2018; and then Petoskey, Michigan, April–June 2018; in collaboration with the University of Michigan and local maker spaces, four digital reliefs and prints
  • Awarded Honorable Mention: “Strange Attractor Series,” Staring into Space exhibition, MACAA*Mid-America College Art Association, 2018 MACCA Conference, The University of Nebraska Lincoln, October 3–6, 2018, online February 20–June 30; CAA*College Art Association, 2018 Annual Conference, Los Angeles Convention Center, February 21–24; two prints
  • Current exhibit, 3D printing, “Being Dis-Functional,” 2018 Sixth Annual Art Competition, Bridgeport Art Center, Chicago; March 16–May 3; two sculptures, group
