Eunice Santos, the Ron Hochsprung Endowed Chair and professor in the Department of Computer Science, testified in front of the House Oversight and Government Affairs Committee Subcommittee on Information Technology on June 20 during a field briefing called “Federal Efforts to Improve Cybersecurity.”
Santos’ testimony focused on several aspects of the cybersecurity challenges facing this country, including:
- The threats faced by educational institutions in protecting against data breaches
- The role of higher education institutions in developing the cybersecurity workforce of the future
- Research-informed considerations that can help the Federal government in its efforts to effectively address cybersecurity
