Colloquium on Virtual Reality (VR) and Psychology

The Department of Psychology and Psi Chi are hosting a special lunchtime colloquium on Monday, September 16 from 12:45 p.m.–1:45 p.m. The topic is using virtual reality (VR) in health psychology. Faculty, students, and staff from across campus are invited to attend.

Speaker: Assaf Y. Dvorkin, Ph.D., National Louis University, Northwestern University

Title: Mirror mirror on the wall, do I ‘see’ my left at all? Assessment of spatial neglect within a virtual environment

Time & Place: Monday, September 16 12:45 p.m.–1:45 p.m., Tech Central, Room 225.

Dvorkin received his Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He specializes in the use of advanced technologies for assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive and sensorimotor impairments following brain damage.
