Commencement Checklist for Graduating Students

As a graduating student, have you completed all the necessary steps to participate in Commencement on May 17, 2025? If not, please take note of some important reminders and updates below:

Regalia: All graduating students are required to wear a cap, gown, and tassel in order to participate in Commencement. If you have already placed your order, thank you! If not, all regalia orders must be placed by 11 p.m. (CDT) on April 15, 2025 (no exceptions). To place an order, please click this link.

Graduate Salute: Graduating students are required to attend Graduate Salute between 3–6 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Hermann Hall. For more information, visit the Graduate Salute webpage.

Guest Tickets: Students who submitted their Ceremony Response Form on time and attend Graduate Salute will receive four (4) guest tickets, which will be sent via email starting May 1, 2025. To request extra tickets, you will need to attend Graduate Salute and fill out the ticket request form.

College Ceremonies: The 156th Illinois Tech Commencement will consist of two combined college ceremonies. For more information, visit the event details and schedules webpage.

Invited Guests: The Commencement venue has a list of prohibited items (i.e., large bags, outside food and beverages, strollers, etc.). Please help your guests by asking them to review these items on the venue’s Visitor’s Guide and also listed on the Commencement know before you go webpage.
