Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Educational institutions that receive federal funds are required to hold an educational program about the U.S. Constitution.
This year’s Constitution Day event, “The Constitution and the Trump Presidency,” will be held on Monday, September 18 from 4–5:15 p.m. at Chicago-Kent College of Law (565 West Adams Street), Room C50.
The format will be a panel discussion with Chicago-Kent College of Law Dean Harold Krent, University Distinguished Professor and Professor of Law Sheldon Nahmod, University Distinguished Professor and Professor of Law Mark Rosen, and Associate Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Institute on the Supreme Court of the United States Carolyn Shapiro. Professor of Law Christopher Schmidt will serve as the moderator.
