Cross Country Looks to Add Runners

The men’s and women’s cross country teams at Illinois Institute of Technology are looking for hardworking, committed, and high-character students to join them for the current season.

Female athletes will be running a six kilometer — or 3.73 mile — course, while male athletes will run an eight kilometer — or five-mile — course.

Participation is limited to students at Illinois Institute of Technology. Students are required to be enrolled full-time (12 or more credit hours per term). New students (no previous college enrollment) are immediately eligible for participation. Currently enrolled Illinois Tech students and students with previous college credits must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA to be eligible and meet other eligibility requirements.

Practices take place Monday thru Friday at 6:30 a.m. for group runs. Scheduling is flexible for individual runs. Competitions are generally Friday evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons.

Interested athletes can contact Joel Williams at jwilli69@iit.edu.
