The Department of Computer Science is hosting a seminar, “Optimization Techniques in High-Performance Computing for Sustainability” from 12:45-1:45 pm on Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Stuart Building, Room 111. The seminar will feature Ishfaq Ahmad, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington.
During this discussion, Ahmad will present research activities pertaining to various aspect of energy and performance optimization in parallel computing environments as well as discuss multi-objective optimized scheduling algorithms and tools that can save energy while ensuring performance.
