Professor Daniel Kaplan will be in Novosibirsk, Russia to attend the 12th biennial International Workshop (COOL’19) on particle beam cooling and its applications at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, September 23–27. Kaplan serves on the International Advisory Committee for the COOL workshop series and will be presenting an invited talk on the Muon Ionization Cooling Experiment, as well as status update talks on some of the analyses of its results on muon ionization cooling.
