Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Seminar Series

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department will kick off the first seminar in its Seminar Series on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 11 a.m.–noon in Siegel Hall, Room 118.

We are pleased to announce our guest speaker Catherine E. Vorwald, associate vice provost, technology development at Illinois Tech. Vorwald will cover the necessary steps to take an innovation to a patent in her talk titled, “Innovation, Inventions and Intellectual Property: An Overview of Technology Transfer at Illinois Tech.”

Vorwald has marketing and business development experience at companies ranging from Fortune 500 to startup, has academic research experience at the NIH and the University of California, San Francisco; and has intellectual property technology transfer experience at both Stanford and Johns Hopkins Universities. We are thrilled to have her share her knowledge and expertise with us.
