Efimoff Leads Scarlet Hawks in Loss

How it Happened

  • The first 5:20 of the contest went scoreless for both teams, with Lakeland’s Miranda Jacobsen breaking the drought with a three-pointer. Over the first six minutes of play, there were as many jump balls as points scored (five).
  • While the first quarter was an offensive struggle, it ended with a basket for both squads. Erin Efimoff scored on a left-handed layup with 10 seconds left before Lakeland’s Janai’ Farr hit a three as time expired, giving the Muskies a 12-4 lead after one.
  • Efimoff was able to generate some offense for Tech, scoring six points in the second quarter. However, the Muskies scored 24 points, once against closing out the frame on a Farr basket.
  • Lakeland rode its offense even more in the third, outscoring the Scarlet Hawks 23-9 to go up 59-24 heading into the fourth.
  • The Muskie bench was instrumental in the fourth, extending the lead with good shooting from the outside to the 68-29 final score.
