The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will continue its Seminar Series on Friday, March 29 from 12:45–1:45 p.m. in Siegel Hall, Room 118, featuring guest speaker Jovan Brankov, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, associate professor of biomedical engineering, and director of the Advance X-ray Imaging Laboratory (AXIL) at Illinois Tech.

Title: Analyzer Based Phase-Contrast X-ray Mammography

Brankov will talk about how analyzer-based phase contrast X-ray imaging (ABI) permits visualization of soft-tissue structures (such as in mammography) that are not detectable by use of conventional X-ray methods, at reduced radiation dose to the patient.
