End of Course (EoC) student course evaluations for most full-semester courses opened last week and will remain open for 14 days. Most close on May 4.
Please encourage student participation and highlight how valuable student feedback is for both instructors and departments. The release schedule for EoC evaluations is based on 83% completion between a course’s start and end dates in Banner and closes 14 days after, unless otherwise scheduled.
Instructors can also encourage participation by tracking student completion via their Blue home page or by reserving about 10 minutes of class time to complete evaluations. Both students and instructors received direct emails from evals@iit.edu when the evaluations launched. Reminders are sent automatically and instructors may also re-send these reminder emails to students who have yet to complete evaluations from their course response status in Blue.

ELIGIBILITY: All full-term courses with 4+ students (excluding Thesis, Independent Study, Internships, and ROTC).
TIMELINE: Most EoC evaluations opened April 20 and run for 14 days, closing May 4. Opening is automatic based on a course’s start and end dates.
QUESTIONS: Standard UFC-approved questions. See CLI’s Student Course Evaluations webpage under “Evaluation Questions”. No customizable instructor questions are available at this time.
ACCESS: By email links, through Canvas/Coursera “Course Evaluation”/”Course Feedback” links, or by searching “Blue” in the Illinois Tech Portal. Accessing through the Illinois Tech Portal is preferred as it sends the instructor to their Blue home page.
REMINDERS: Automatic student reminders are sent twice during the evaluation period; instructors can also send reminders and monitor response rates in Blue.
REPORTS & DASHBOARDS: Instructors will receive reports after final grades are submitted. Summary reports without comments will also be available to departments and administration per the data visibility chart on the CLI’s Student Course Evaluations webpage.
