Enterovirus D68: Important Information You Need To Know

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there have been reported cases of Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) in Illinois.
EV-D68 is a fairly rare viral infection that can cause symptoms such as coughing, wheezing and low blood oxygen levels. In some cases, however, the symptoms can be severe — particularly for individuals with a history of asthma, allergies or other respiratory problems.

If you experience wheezing or difficulty breathing, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you have prolonged cough and/or severe cold-like symptoms, please make an appointment with the Student Health and Wellness Center, located on the third floor of IIT Tower.
