Illinois Tech faculty, staff, alumni, and professionals from the Chicago area are invited to attend IPRO Day, with the option of serving as judges or stopping by as guests, on Friday, July 28 from 10 a.m.–noon in the IIT Tower Main Lobby. We are celebrating the work of a dozen summer IPRO teams over the past two months.

The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program organizes interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students to apply their creativity to complex, open-ended projects to tackle the challenges of our times. Guided by faculty members from an extraordinary diversity of fields, IPRO team projects this summer span assistive technology for rehabilitation, Chinatown social and economic development, a Made in Chicago venture concept, reimagining the Illinois Tech first-year experience, solar lighting for algae biofuel development, and big data visualization of complex issues through artistically-creative expression with high school student engagement.
