Faculty RSVP for Commencement—Deadline: March 28, 2025

Dear Illinois Tech Faculty,

I am pleased to share some initial details about Illinois Tech’s 2024–25 Commencement ceremony.

Illinois Institute of Technology’s 156th Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Credit Union 1 Arena, located at 525 South Racine Avenue in Chicago. This year there will be two separate, combined college-level ceremonies. At each of these ceremonies, degrees will be conferred for three of the university’s colleges. Each ceremony will also have a unique set of honorary degree recipients and Commencement speakers.

  • The combined ceremony for the Institute of DesignLewis College of Science and Letters, and College of Computing will begin at 9 a.m.
  • The combined ceremony for the College of ArchitectureStuart School of Business, and Armour College of Engineering will begin at 2 p.m.
  • Illinois Tech’s Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Hermann Hall’s McCormick Auditorium beginning at 10 a.m.
  • The college ceremony for Chicago-Kent College of Law will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the UIC Dorin Forum

This is an important weekend for our entire community, and I strongly encourage you to participate. It is important to our students and their families that we show our pride in our graduates and their accomplishments.

Please RSVP for the ceremonies and to reserve your regalia no later than Friday, March 28, 2025. Your response is requested even if you own your own regalia or do not plan to attend.
