Film Screening: Swing Kids

Join the Office of Community Affairs and Outreach Programs for a screening of Swing Kids in the Tower Auditorium, Saturday September 14.

In this upliftingswing kids.jpg musical drama set during the Korean War, the soldiers at a POW camp plan a tap show to distract both themselves and the prisoners from the hardships of war. Led by a former Broadway dancer and a rebellious North Korean soldier, the band of prisoners find a new sense of freedom in dancing. Join us for a post-film discussion with Jared Grimes, actor/singer/dancer moderated by Lane Alexander, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Chicago Human Rhythm Project.
