Aesha Williams, assistant director in the Office of Financial Aid, was awarded the New Professional Award at Illinois Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (ILASFAA) annual conference. This award recognizes outstanding contributions of an individual who has been in the financial aid profession five years or fewer. Williams has been a member of ILASFAA since 2012, serving as a member of the Training and Professional Development and College Awareness and Preparation committees, as well as member and immediate past chair of the organization’s Diversity committee. At Illinois Institute of Technology, Williams has worked in both Housing & Residential Services (now Residence & Greek Life) and the Office of Financial Aid.
